Tartans
Just to give my thoughts on the tartan:
On Facebook our followers were 95% not in favor of the tartan design. They felt that it should have tied in with traditional colours that are representative of Scotland and tartan.
Personally I feel they should have gone to someone in the industry to design the tartan and consulted the Scottish Tartan Authority (STA) for guidance.
The colours I myself would have chosen would have been Purples to represent the Thistle and Heather, a hint of Green to represent the beautiful highland scenery and some blue and white for the flag/national colours. I know the colours the designer used were to add a feminene side to it, but this could have been achieved with a more subtle use of pink.
What colours would everyone else picked to have used if they were designing the tartan? I'd be interested to hear
