Thanks, I was going to ask about Labhran. My mum saw a photo that included you and McMurdo. The problem I have is that she gives the orders, but the funds are handled by a disinterested 3rd party so I have to be precise about what to order and who to pay. It worked out OK before because I was able to find one single supplier over here who would take credit card payment for everything at once. This will probably not be happening again, so I have to make sure that I find one single jacket that will satisfy most occasions.

I have taken Nathan's advice and requested a Moss green jacket and waistcoat from House of Labhran.

Sadly that item is no longer available from House of Labhran. I like the price. I would like to avoid going over this by much if I can, even though I know that the potential budget is more. I would like to thank you for your help thus far, and I would welcome any other suggestions.
Edit:
Well it seems that they will do a special order, so this is back on again.

The gods of chance and circumstance have smiled upon me and I give thanks. First to you Nathan and McMurdo. My ma has chanced to see this forum and approves of you. "You are a fine example and clearly gentlemen" she says. Thank you for telling me about House of Labhran. They are really friendly to work with. This is the jacket and waistcoat they made for me. It is in Glenlyon tweed.
When my camera is recharged, I will photograph some details of the jacket to show the pains the tailor has gone to, to make the threads line up.
