Welcome aboard!
I am originally from St. Louis; born and bred. My wife and I used to live across from Forest Park in the Demun neighborhood near Clayton and Skinker Roads. St. Louis has quite an active Scottish community with the St. Andrew Society of Greater St. Louis leading the way. I highly encourage you to check them out. Also, if you haven't attended the annual St. Louis Scottish Highland Games and Cultural Festival in Forest Park in late September, as well as the annual Missouri Tartan Day Festival in historic St. Charles in early April, I highly recommend that you do so. They are both definitely worth checking out.
Have you been to The Scottish Arms Pub in the Central West End? It's definitely a kilt friendly place owned and operated by my good mate, and Aberdeenshire native, Alastair Nisbet. If you haven't been there yet, then you must check out out! If you do go, ask for Ally and tell him that I sent you. He'll take good care of you. My wife and I will be attending the 2014 St. Louis Scottish Highland Games this year, so we hope to see you there!

My wife and I will definitely be at the St. Louis Scottish games this year. I've been wanting to go to the games for the past 3 years but my work always scheduled our annual inventory on the same weekend. This year I made sure to schedule a vacation day!
The Scottish Arms is my family's "go to" place for birthday dinners, we absolutely love that place!
