    An interesting thread.

A pal in Castle Douglas area, (yes, lowland!) thinks that kilts, "Dinna' look reet on a skinny bod". He thinks you need to carry some weight to take the kilt well.
Personally the kilts in my mind look the worse hanging dawn way below the knees.
Actually, a slim laddy looks just as bad with an overly Long kilt as does a more thick set type.

So, be you thick (midriff, not head!) or thin, wear it right and it'll look right!

Historically there were many small folk in the highlands, but great strapping fellows were about as well.

Hmm, sounds a lot like "Does this dress make me look fat?" Best not to venture one's reply IMHO. ;-)

After 11 attempts to register here under different names, we now have enough evidence to confirm that this is again Steven Aikens of Jasper AL. This time using an IP proxy in an attempt to hide his real location.

It's a question of whether the clothes make the man or the man makes the clothes, I suppose. Certainly, guys in better shape look great no matter what they wear but I think larger men look their best when they're dressed to impress.

The idea of paying attention to what you wear is not to compare yourself to someone else's genetics or even to their gym regimen, but rather, to look your best.
