    Murphy I am thrilled for you! Your wife is courageous and it is so very nice to hear of her support for you.

    You WILL get some negative reactions and maybe some negative comments. Just be mentally prepared for that but not self concious. You will also get good reactions. Walking with your wife will give you the strength to go anywhare in it knowing you have her support. I have worn my Kilt in places where I expect any type reaction and I will be sharing some experiences of late soon. ( too busy right now to go into it)

    As the others said wear it proudly and "confidently"

    I am prepared to answer negative remarks with various retorts or none at all. I am sure you will find many responses suggested at X

    So glad to read your post thanks for sharing- Now get that Kilt on and GET OUT THERE!!

    Wednesday the 13th at 8:00pm is VERY important, as that's the last of the video shoots. WEAR a kilt!
    Friday the 22nd at 9:30 is a regular gig down in The Quiet Man Pub at Finnigan's. You show and I'll buy a round... or two... or three.

    Not necesarily true, as of yet the closest I've come is a carny running the bottle game rambling on about my camo in kilt form. I acted like I didn't hear him and when on my way. That's it! Nothing from car windows, bars, etc. Lots of "What you got under theres" "Are you a true Scott---Wink---" definitely mumbling out of ear shot but that's it.
    It must have to do with confidence in yourself. Remember, even if you are just testing the water jump in with both feet. OWN IT!!! Your wearing the kilt the kilt is not wearing you.

    Oh, Murphy!
    How I envy your first day kilted with the wife

    It will be a memory for a lifetime. Enjoy it for all of our sakes, and thank your lucky stars that you've got such a playful wife.

    Jimmy, I actually met C.T. at a 5K run in Kennett Square a few years ago. All the wife said as we were walking away was "For God's sake wipe your chin."

    Murphy:

    You have a very cool wife! It has been said but I'll run the risk of being repetitive: When the day comes, hold your head high and stride with pride! Bring forrit the kilt!

    Wives can be full of surprises. My wife prefers I wear kilts all the time and enjoys the attention it gets when we go anywhere. Her only concern now is that I might be uncomfortable over the winter. My wife generally hates shopping (strange, I know) but she likes going to the mall since I started wearing kilts. Talk about showing off the prize pig. Seems to me a woman either loves it or hates it. I have yet to get an ambivilent reaction from the ladies to the kilt.

    Murphy;
    Sorry I'm a little late with this. I can remember my first time out in the kilt. You'll feel 10 feet tall and be strutting your stuff. You'll also feel that everyone is looking at you. They won't be ,not all of them anyway.

    So good luck with your first time. We'll, no doubt read the results right here on the forum
    All the Best.....David.
