I'd lean to Claret/Black or Claret/Charchol Grey?
Or, I'd consider a pair of Josh Brown's Jacobite Diced with a Blue/Black or Charchol with a Claret over-stripe.
Here's a link. Have a look around. Some of the colour combinations on the various Hose Style pages might inspire you. I have a pair of their Split Diamond Argyles and they are a tremendous quality garment. Perfect fit, wash exceptionally well, no forest of straggly bits of wool inside, and in my opinion, the best value for money custom hose on the market today. A word of caution though, if you decide to purchase hose from SHO - order well in advance of your deadline and be patient. Also, if you want a perfect colour match, send them a sample, or very precise image of your Tartan. Better safe than sorry.
Patience is it's own reward in dealing with SHO. It's well worth the wait. I will be ordering a pair of SHO's diced hose once the wool for the custom c. 1800 MacDuff is dyed.
