    Diana Gabaldon sells a pattern for it on her website. I don't know the address off-hand or how much it costs but my wife just finished (almost) one for me this morning. I know that there are three sizes to the pattern and that the bigger ones look less like a beret. As soon as it finishes drying and she gets the ribbon put in it, I'll get a photo of it.

    On looking closer at the bonnet in the picture, there is clearly visible texture of the knitting. The cap is not very heavily felted, which may account for the extra floppy look.

    If you should consider actually knitting a replica of the bonnet, there is good information in this thread elsewhere on the forum.
