Idiot......I did not like the way the news report kept showing the stock at Stumptown Kilts while talking about the items concealed on this thief. Now all stores will be stereotyping kilt wearers here in the Pacific NW......great...... What an idiot.....

No the majority of criminals still wear trousers. I don't know one Member of Parliament who wears a kilt.

Obviously wanted to keep a low profile - surely nobody would notice a kilt in Fry's? Yeah, right! Bozo of the day. I think!

I thought the segment was poorly done, but I wouldn't sweat getting profiled. It's Portland.

Just got home from work.....I was sporting my Tan UtiliKilt as my usual Saturday attire, and I heard about it all day long.......
On the positive side....I do have a new response to "the question".....a remote control helicopter.....and socks and shoes.......

A bit of publicity for Stump Town kilts, not sure in this instance if it's good or bad. I think there is a saying that any publicity is good?

Having a bit of experience in "Loss Prevention" I know that women have long used skirts and dresses to cover shoplifted goods...there have been some amazing stories over the years of microwave ovens and other large goods found hidden under skirts. Since our kilts are a type of skirt it makes good sense for Loss Prevention staff to be alert if a man in a kilt is acting suspiciously in their store... Methinks the crook was just taking his lead from all the skirted lady shoplifters plying their trade...
