Nice little article but with one glaring error, the pipebag tartan is not MacKenzie.
It's mentioned on a few other websites as Lennox, the tartan worn by the 16th Bn. (Canadian Scottish).

A great tribute story to very brave men. Thanks for posting the link. But what a waste - so many brave young men slaughtered - and for what purpose? To quote Pete Seeger "When will they ever learn?".
