Hi Nathan,
Thanks. I was indeed an SDG more than a few years ago. I have wanted one for a long time. Actually its the current CO who gave me the info I needed. He was very helpful.
I wanted the exact same per the regimental standard.
It was made and woven by Strathmore Woolen Co. They're the official manufacturer for the regiment. I went for the NCM pattern, which contrary to the officers pattern has no fringe.
