I share the common interest in getting a kiltmaker's opinion, but this is already excellent work!

I would agree, this is getting real close, Glen. I appreciate the use of the lighter browns and grey, to contrast with, the black. And that does a great job of drying up the mud. Reminiscent of the beautiful Thompson Camel tartan.

I think this last one represents the wildcat very well. I like it an awful lot!

I like the way the gray and browns work in the last design. I don't know what it is about the way Eternity tartan is woven, but generally it looks dark gray, but if you turn it just right, it seems kind of brownish. Those who have seen it in the cloth have difficulty deciding exactly what shade it is. The gray/brown effect in your design look like it might be more cat like. Is it brown? Is it gray? Where did it go?

This latest tartan is really good. As a nod to great minds thinking alike and all that, it is interesting to note the similarities with the alternate one Nathan designed.
The way the grey and brown mix in this latest one seems to me (at least on my monitor) to evoke the tweed like blending present in natural fur. The start contrast in the yellow stripe works well here.
From what I have read there was originally a green color included for the eyes, that is now yellow. Why the change? I like the yellow but was just curious.
If there is room for any small change, I was wondering about the thin yellow lines that border the thick black stripes. Do these need to be the same yellow as the thick stripes? Would this possibly be a place to bring back the green, either for the eyes or if that is now filled by yellow then for the terrain the cat lives in? I known little about tartan design so this may be way off base here. Take it or leave it as you see fit.

I like the way the double yellow "eyes" are bordered by the black in the new design, as the cats are in the wild, but the yellow on the outside of the black stripes is unneccessary and too bright for what I understand to be a hunting type tartan imho. Otherwise I agree with the previous posters that each re-design is better than the last. I too encourage you to take a step back from it, take some time, and then go back to it.

I like the idea of getting rid of the thin yellow lines so have done that thanks for the suggestion. As for a darker brown the whole idea of the light brown and grey as the background was to evoke the camouflage of the cats so not sure a darker brown would work.

Ok, I've read this thread in it's entirety. (thank you Kilted Cole)
I'm significantly interested pending final design and cost.
Enough tartan for a kilt at minimum.

Great! The more interested we have, the more purchasers we have, the more money goes to charity. (And it probably reduces the price as well )
