Yes, I can easily visualise that, then the waist measurement becomes irrelevant. Must be even more tricky when there are protrusions front and back because the waist measurement would not necessarily reflect that and could of course be the same but with the extension in the opposite direction.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

I've bought three semi-trad PV kilts from USA Kilts, as well as a tweed waistcoat and a Bonnie Prince Charlie jacket & waistcoat. We had a wee bit of a problem with the Bonnie Prince Charlie waistcoat that finally got resolved, much thanks to Rocky. I do believe we'll be ordering another kilt from USA Kilts as soon as the Minister of Finance approves.

Unfortunately, Rocky is correct. My "jeans' waist" is currently 38" (down from 42", thank you). But my "natural waist" is still about 42 - 43". And no matter how I measure it, my seat is 41.5". I tend to carry extra weight in my stomach area. So I can understand how measurements need to be carefully entered. But Rocky was good to redo the kilt at cost. I have heard lots of praise for his customer service.

Still waiting on my 5 yard Celtic Nations. This is week number six. I can hardly keep calm.

Thanks and have a good day.

I am sort of a large gal and Rocky assauged all my fears of ordering the right kilt for me. I LOVE it and wear it all the time. I had a picture taken while wearing it but I was holding our clan sign right in front of it getting ready for the parade of the clans and we realized when we got home that you can't see the kilt at all. I can't wait to order my next kilt from them. The customer service is above all else AMAZING. Didn't matter how long or how many times I emailed him before making the leap and ordering - they were patient and made me feel perfectly comfortable ordering !!!
PS Mac made mine and I thought I would give him a shout of awesome too !!!
