Bright side, is I turn 60 tomorrow, so at least will have some "gifts" waiting.
I am seriously addicted...got my first UK in August, when everything I've ordered shows up I'll have 15 kilts. Six UK (including the black leather), Four AmeriKilts, Two Pittsburgh Kilts, two Freedom Kilts, and a Sportkilt...my only tartan so far in my Macdonald clan.
Looking at Macdonald Lord of the Isles tartan for the next tartan...just living out here in the sand and dust of the canyonlands don't know when, where, I'd wear it. The non-traditionals fit better for me due to the lighter weight and casual look.
Six of the kilts are camos...the UK, the AK tiger stripe, The Pittsburgh forest marpat and desert marpat, and the Freedom Cadpat and desert camo. I really like them for the look when hiking the canyonlands or up in the nearby forests.
I just signed up with the Northern Arizona Celtic Society - the folks that make the Kilts Up! calendar (see things for sale forum) so who knows, maybe they'll have something down in Flagstaff to dress up in a tartan for.
I have a lot to choose from, family line is Macdonalds, Fletchers, Gordons, Camerons, Scotts etc.
Worse part of the addiction has been buying accessories...so far two pair of boots, lots of knee sox, belts, a jacket...even that short sash from Sportkilt...
Probably should take a break and let my plastic recover...hoping the leather kilt will stop this addiction for a while when it arrives...
My agency isn't ready for me in kilts yet ( I'm a therapist - would probably be distracting to the clients), but I've already committed to only wearing kilts when I'm off the job. Loving it so far.
Happy birthday, and welcome to the sixth decade. I'm 61 now.
