Hey Richard, go buy one and let me know.

I'm still in awe of the 38 pleats! That alone can speak for the pleat depth since the pattern is broad! I like the wider waistband for comfort!

What I forgot to ask was this:

Colin... the wider waistband with the AWESOME pleating has me a little confused. Is this supposed to be worn high like a "Traditional", or is it designed to look like that and be worn on the hips like a "Formal"?

If it's the latter... I'm ALL OVER THIS PURCHASE!!!
Jimmy, when David took my measurements, we measured at the naval not on the hips. The kilt is meant to be worn higher up. I have just uploaded some photos I took on the weekend for your referal. Please excuse the fact that it is not ironed or on, as I was just getting ready to do both.

I had the opportunity to wear the kilt for most of Sunday for Thansgiving. It was a big hit, and the kilt was wonderful. It has the feel of a formal kilt, but is so light weight. Very nice to wear.

As for the buckle under the belt, I meant the belt adjustment for the belt sizing. http://canadakilt.com/BELTANDBUCKLE.html
