All right, it's time. Ive heard from Paul at Wildcat Haven. If you participated in the previous thread about the tartan or this one, please PM me your choice of tartan. I'm not making a poll for this when it concerns such a small number of members. Also, because "voting" sounds suspiciously like "soliciting" I'd prefer to keep this OFF of the main forum. Thanks.

If you participated, but are currently active in the Facebook Group, then please vote on FB. I STRONGLY recommend referring to Barbs pleating guide before voting. Voting ends on Friday, September 19th.

Paul from Wildcat Haven will have ten votes, to each of us having one. Please keep in mind the significant issues with Brown Variant #1 when it comes to pleating to stripe; meaning that it can't be pleated to the main gray stripe.

The brown/gray variant #3 is absolute joy to the eyes, well done on your examples of pleating Barb, and from what I am understanding (correct me if I'm wrong please) it is also one of the cleanest and easiest to pleat?

Gray "Jock Scot" Variant #2

By far my favourite, and I really think this version will be the winner in the end. Yet, they're all winners in my book! I absolutely love how all of this came together, Alan. Well done to you, Glen, and to all of those who have so actively participated in this worhtwhile endeavour. I sincerely look forward to seeing this fine tartan (whichever version is officially chosen) woven into actual tartan cloth and worn as a kilt!

Alan, will you be posting the winner of this off-forum decision in this thread? There are many members who have been hugely interested in this forum's creation of another tartan.

Yes, I will post the winner, here. Once that's done I will ask the moderators to wait a week or two and then remove both of the Scottish Wildcat Tartan threads. Of course I can't force them to do that, but I think that in light of Rule #10, it's best if they just go away.

I would hope that this thread does not go away completely, as it shows a really nice look into tartan creation. It includes all the comments that lead to the various changes and options. It would be a shame to loose this simply because the design in question may be used to raise funds for a charity.

Also it bears mentioning that complaints notwithstanding, this thread showed an excellent example of forum members coming together to create a tartan from scratch. While there have been other such threads, this is the furthest along that any has come since I have been a member and I would hate to loose the historical significance to a project like this.
