The construction is bizarre- with both a 'double breasted' set of buttons as well as a center button. The cuffs look a bit odd, as does the rather hard angle of the sporran cut-away.
Other than that it certainly looks like a quality garment.

This calls to mind the green velvet dinner jacket that my commanding officer wore on civilian occasions. Sadly it was worn with trousers, but women swooned for it! (My wife thought it marvellous.)
