    If it were a solid tweed flatcap I would consider it. In this instance, bucket hat.

    Try a fore-and-aft hat if you have the opportunity.

    For the record, I occasionally wear my Donegal tweed flatcap.

    Now that I think about it the donegal isn't very appropriate as most games/festivals are day-wear situations right? The "bucket" hat is harris tweed as well so I think it will go well. Thanks for your suggestions.

    I just bought this in black for a good all around hat to wear with my kilt. I slant it towards the front and put a clan badge on the side:

    What about this type of Harris tweed "ghillie" hat? This one is from Scotweb.

    Seems more "country" and low-key than other options. Obviously not suitable for the warmer climes and seasons.
