Donnington Bike show Sep 28th 2014

We were given a massive plot but with a number of last minute drop outs we made the plot we had smaller , having said that it was still the biggest plot we had ever had so we did things a little different for this one . with a walk around part with 2 lovely 125’s right in the middle . We had some nice bikes and lots of new bikes never on the stand before .

We won Best club stand and 3 other trophies for members bikes . best Yamaha ,best future classic and Honda
I will add a real nice walk around video i took of the stand tonight or in the morning as its going to take half the day to upload.

and yes I was kilted all day at the show. if any one took any pics and are on our face book page ill post them. We put carpet down as you can see and I had to hoover it before they let people in to make it look nice and clean and im sure someone took a pic and posted it ion face book .
Click on this link and you can click threw all the pics

I feel it is time to explain to the curious what a "pocket rocket" is (there are two in your video) and how hard it would be to zip about on one while kilted. However, that would be a video worth watching. At my age I stick to Cruiser and touring class bikes where kilting is not a big deal except when dealing with the sun baked leather saddle. Then it is an "OH MY!" moment heard by many over long distances.

Well I take the pictures so I don't get picture of my self a lot but her is 1 I got from a bike face book page of me in the kilt at the show hovering the red carpet before the show stated.

most of these bike are pocket rockets "That's a small fast bike" and to prove you can ride them kilted
Me test riding a friends 350LC

and me on an RD350 on a rally ride that was 40 odd miles in Derbyshire and up to matlock and back to the camp ground in Derby. I got a lot of looks at lights and even more at Matlock witch is a big bike meeting place in Derbyshire . all pictures pulled from face book that people posted about the rally
    Me at the rally ground

This was when we puled over to fuel up

This was out on the 40 mile ride. You just need to gather the kilt up and put it between your legs and sit on it like a cushion so it doesn't flap about.

Good for you Norbo. It ain't bragging if you've got a photo to prove it.

You have an interesting way of biking kilted, Norbo. The only kilted biker I know is Piperjames in Cape Town, who often rides his motorbike to piping engagements – but instead of sitting on the kilt pleats, he tucks the aprons under himself.
There may be a risk of someone seeing his bare behind, but his crown jewels are not exposed.
Nice pictures, by the way (of you kilted, that is – bikes don’t turn me on).
    Regards,
    Mike
