A warm Scottish welcome from middle England. Nice trews, next a kilt?
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

I am not sure about a kilt - I think that trews and a well cut dinner jacket is an incredibly classy look.

Just an update - the trews have arrived!

They are slightly too small, but this coincides with my diet - they are something to aim for!

Even though they are second hand it was too good an opportunity to pass up - having a pair tailored would have literally been ten times the price from the quotes I received! And a pure coincidence they were in a tartan I was looking at anyway!

The tartan is quite light, which is nice as I do get warm easily. If they've been worn more than 3 or 4 times I would be surprised. I love the fishtail back as well.

I think trews will work better for me - I want a subtle nod to my ancestry without having to go buy and wear full highland dress. Black tie events would be perfect for me.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to where to get some properly tailored trews made in the future?
