    Mackenzie Frain is closed.

It's been a while since I have purchased from Mackenzie Frain. I went on today thinking about a new jacket, when to my surprise, I find they are closed. When one clicks on their website, there is a notice stating that as of 12 September, they are closed, and any inquiries may be directed to House of Tartan Limited. I seem to recall seeing a connection between the two companies some time back, but I couldn't say much more than that.

The Mackenzie Frain website has an elegant, "Old World" feel to it, while the House of Tartan website is more of the modern "cookie cutter" look of thousands of other Internet store fronts.

I sent an email to House of Tartan asking how many (if any) of the Mackenzie Frain products and services they will be continuing to provide to the market. I will post their reply when I receive it.

If you have not perused the Mackenzie Frain website, I suggest taking a few minutes and click on the link below. You may discover an idea, or two for your next purchase (wherever that happens to be.)

I hate to think we've lost an outlet for goods and supplies. But if they have consolidated, good for them and us in the long run, even if they have a "modern cookie cutter web site".
