Son just made Eagle Scout
This isn't really kilt related (except that I wear kilts during Boy Scout activities) but my son just passed his Eagle Scout Board of Review this evening and I just have to brag a little. He just BARELY made it though. He had everything done before he turned 18 (last week) except getting all the paperwork turned in.
My wife kept telling me that I needed to make him get it done but I told her that he needed to want to do it himself or it wouldn't mean anything.
For those of you who don't know anything about the Boy Scouts of America, Eagle Scout is the highest rank that a youth member can obtain. Lots of famous men have been awarded the Eagle Scout rank. If you're interested, just Google "Famous Eagle Scouts."
Woo-Hoo!!! I'm a proud dad tonight.

Congrats! I became an Eagle Scout December 12th, 1992. The Eagle Scout Charge is quite the weighty responsibility.

You should strut as a proud dad. Here! Here! to his accomplishment. No one can take that away once earned. Even stuffed into a room full of Eagle Scouts, he got his singularly.

Congratulations to your son, and to his parents! He earned it, all Eagles do, but parents are a big part of the journey to Eagle.
