    A great Kilted weekend.

Spent the whole weekend kilted and really had a good time. Had friends over on Sat and on Sun we all went off to Llanthony priory to take some pictures for a CD cover and then went on to a small farmers pub to have Sunday lunch. I've put several pictures into my personal gallery .. unfortunately the quality is not good .. they are stills from my camcorder which is'nt brill and some shots were taken to far away and I have had to enlarge them, hence loosing what quality there was in the first place. When the proper 35mm films are developed I'll post some more better quality. Without going into detail here Llanthony Priory is a fab place in a little remote part of the Black Mountains north east of Abergavenny in Wales. Anyone who is interested to find out about the history of the place heres the link ...

Nice to hear you had a great time Derek.

The pictures lack a little quality but you can tell you where have a great time. What kind of music do you play (Not Max Boyce I hope )

I look forward to seeing the others.

    Great link too

    Hey Derek, two great minds!

I spent the last four days kilted too. Loved it!

Only "negative" event was some tourist in the local Italian restaurant where I'd taken my mother and sister for dinner. I was wearing my Freedom Kilt Desert Camo kilt with black tshirt and black ZCoil Workman's boots.

He stopped me to ask about the kilt as we were leaving..he and his wife had apparently been pondering it. Explained the concept of contemporary kilts...he just kind of sneered, so told him I had tartan kilts too...but he insisted on snubbing me by saying the concept of contemporary kilts "looses something." Duh, like I'm gonna wear a tartan to dinner at an ITALIAN restaurant...hell, maybe they had them...who knows.

Anyhow, his arrogance is his problem and he can just sit there in his bifurcateds if he wants.

Over all, a wonderful way to spend a four day weekend...kilted and free!
