Bob and I saw this earlier and agreed that the pleats were in front. By the next day, when I thought to post it here, neither of us could remember the brand or product being advertised! Obviously of the most effective ad, in several senses.

Saw the ad a few times last weekend and this week. Tonight I noticed the pleats were in the front! … Said to SWMBO I should post about it here, but that someone else certainly already had. Right on both counts!

And for we pipers it is a double insult. He is shown with a lousy set of Sialkot Pakistani made, sheesham wood, junk pipe monstrosities.

They "nae" answer by the piper was correct on two levels. The color of said under garment is one of them. The other could be interpreted on many levels.

Cute commercial. But the cleverness of the Ad was ruined by my overwhelming urge to throw my hands through the screen and whip the Kilt around. Really? There wasn't ONE single person involved in the making of this who went"Mmmm..there's something off about this".? lol

They never do that….I remember an advert from several years ago where the talent, who looked like what we would now call a lumber-sexual, was fly fishing with the reel on the top of the rod…nobody caught it. I've been on both still and cinema commercial shoots and I gotta tell ya' that there is no shortage of people on the set so you'd think that SOMEBODY would catch an error. Whenever I see a stupid commercial, I think, "Some dummy copywriter came up with this idea…BUT his boss let him pitch it to the account manager and they pitched it to the client and the client signed off on it….so….who's the dope here?" I have worked with clients who WANT the commercial to look cheap, be annoying or have some obnoxious element because they believed that the annoyance factor would make their spot stick out…so intentional mistakes do result in such things as people going on about it in internet forums and other places.
