Sorry, Gents. For some reason, the Copy URL/Control V trick only worked for the first photo in the above thread. So, I tried again in a separate post one at a time and bingo, it worked.
A note to the Moderators: this is REALLY tedious having to post pics this way. Please, please, please, FIX the system so we can again post pics directly from our pc's without having to go through all this who-ha.
Thanks you.

This was also taken for this thread. The gentleman in the blue shirt is my Dad. He was about 62 when I took the photo just minutes before he shaved off his beard. Mum preferred him clean shaven because she thought he was so handsome and the whiskers made him look older than he was. I'll be 60 in August, so we're not too far off in age here.

Two handsome men in the family, your mum was fortunate indeed. Some very good genes at work.
We are also fortunate. So glad that you are here to share your knowledge, and particularly grateful for your MacDuff tartan revival. You have given us all so much - a few whiskers are neither here nor there to us.
God has blessed us all, John, allowing us more time with you in our lives. You will stay in our prayers.

Thank you for your kind words. I'm not sure about the "blessed"aspect, (there's an x-wife lurking out there somewhere on the planet who may wish to debate you on this) but I accept the compliment, none the less.

My son just sent this to me. His job as bartender for a "Tilted Kilt" pub in Illinois. The thigh tattoo was his idea of a pun.

What TK does he work at? I have been to the one in Schaumburg several times, and am thinking of a casual kilted night out there.

I have a mustache and goatee very similar to Jamieson (post #2), I grew it to fit my persona in the SCA. I went to work one day shortly after Christmas and was called Santa by a small child. Her mother told her that I was just an employee. the girl replied "but he's in disguise"

I guess I have a common looking face. Folks would always ask me if we'd met before. Once dated a girl who had a thing for men who looked like me and she actually had a large photo album of all of us guys she'd dated....we do look alike. Maybe that had something to do with growing out my first beard in 1970 at age 26. I loved the look.
I shaved the beard off once at a spiritual retreat in 1990. Folks were contending that I was "hiding" behind my beard. Course my response was that they were hiding by shaving off their natural whiskers. But hey, succumbed to peer pressure and a curiosity and shaved off the beard. Looking in the mirror without the beard the image of my long dead father stared back at me - scary! So I grew it right back and its been in place since.

GrainReaper, My son tells me the photo is two years old and from Quincy, ILL. He's into electrical repair of Wind generators now. Lofty work indeed! He says the kilts were cool but the girls were hot. That's my boy.
