New Sporran for a Friend
I just completed a Winsor Bag-esque sporran (just in time!) as a holiday gift for a friend who will receive his first kilt as a gift as well. It's been a while since my leather-working days in Scouts, but I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out. The bag is made from 3oz merino leather with a rabbit pelt front. The flap is 5oz Veg Tan. I made a drawstring closure with wooden toggles, and was very happy to find the square nail clasp (my friend is a carpenter).
This was my first attempt at making a sporran and learned not a few lessons. I look forward to sharing more in the future.
Happy Holidays to you all!

Nice indeed. Your friend will be pleased, I'm sure. The "cut nail" clasp was a thoughtful touch.
