According to their web pages Corsair is unavailable in New Mexico and Pritchards doesn't list their distributors and shows nothing on their "Where to Buy" page. Oh my!, the trials and tribulations of the whisky tippler.
Good point, Mook. I may have to enquire directly with the distillers, but I do have other alternatives: 1) Delilah's, a Serious Whiskey Bar right here in Chicago, 2) My downstairs condo neighbors (husband and wife), both of whom are from Nashville and return home quite often, and 3) Go back down there myself, with a large, sturdy, well-padded and mostly empty suitcase, and stock up. Also: shop for a pair of black full-quill ostrich ropers, go honky-tonkin' every night, and resume my extensive girl-watching activities--not necessarily in that order.
Best Regards,

Lucky guy! Chicago is my kind of town, da da da da ...
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Chicken leg quarters baked just right. A medley of chopped butternut squash, acorn squash, apples, walnuts, brown sugar and spices... baked just right. Collard greens cooked down just right.
MacAllan 12 for desert. Just right.
I love autumn and its bounty.

Imbibed a dram of that malt myself last night. It's a bit harsh neat (cask-strength alcohol burn), but with the "right" amount of ice and water it is transformed into the best sherry-finished (and other flavors, too) scotch I have tasted. Great choice! A tip of the hat to Forrester Modern for his recommendation.
Merry Christmas!

A few nights ago my wife and I were the witnesses at a friend's wedding. After we'd all signed the paperwork the officiant busted out a bottle of Lagavulin 16. I'm still very much a n00b with the Scotch thing but I do know I love big, smoky, and peaty. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed. It was a sad moment when I got to the bottom of the glass for sure.
On deck tonight is likely going to be Macallan Sherry Oak and dad-in-law's favorite, Chivas.

Last night I did a whisky tasting lesson for my two girls Reagan and Taylor who are in their early 20s. We started with the clean, crisp, Dalwhinnie 15 year, then on to the Glenmorangie Lasanta with a very nice sherry cask finish which they both liked very much. We ended (I thought) with the very muscular Laphroaig 18 year which certainly made an impression on both of them. After getting past the smoke they were both impressed with what a warm, full finish it has.
Reagan decided she wanted a final tasting of a Speyside so we shared a very gentle Tomintoul that her Uncle Paul had graciously given us. But then they were both curious about Dewar's Highlander Honey and, while not a single malt, we dared to enjoy a sample. That led us to compare it, of course, to Drambuie which put a cap on the evening.
I feel that I have accomplished an important life lesson for both of them and that they can now order a fine single malt with confidence.

Bob: I've never been a huge Lagavulin fan, because of the peat. But, a good friend of mine HAD a bottle of the "16" and every time I visited, we drank a dram or two. After a couple of months, we emptied the bottle, so I bought him a new one for Christmas. And, the cycle starts over.
Merry Christmas!
