They are just a very cheap pair of shoes I picked up at Kohls for a little of nothing. I believe their are Apt. 9 (do not remember the "model") and are in cognac. I wear brown dress shoes 4-5 days a week and burn through them rather quickly. These were a quick pick up for a spare pair.

Ah... Well, they certainly pass muster to this particular shoe-whore. Cognac isn't usually a popular shade with the wee little brands. They certainly go well with the hose, creating a look that hearkens back to a time when folks dressed well as a matter of unbending habit.

The real question is whether or not your wife will take commissions for making kilt hose.

Your whole outfit looks smashing. Love the way the hose blend with the waistcoat. Great job!

This is a very valid question, what's the production timeframe, cost out the door, and do you need a foot casting or is simple shoe size ok?

I remember when you first posted the picture of these hose. I absolutely LOVED them then and still do today. Whereas I prefer the original colors, I DO think that the new colors are more "wearable" on a daily basis. If for no other reason than the white, over time, would begin to appear dirty. The dyed colors will not get "old" looking as readily.

I am still wishing I could get a nice pair of hose such as those. I'm not talented enough to knit my own, but given enough time, I certainly would like to do so.

she has been taking a break from knitting for the past couple of months (health reasons) but is getting ready to start back up. She is considering making some.
