I'm looking at getting my first tank this Febuary and live reasonably close to Judy. Does anybody have any experience with her as a kilt maker. I like the the thought of getting measured by the maker to ensure filt for my first full 8 harder.

I have not had any personal experience, but she was highly recommended to me by someone I trust. I had the pleasure of conversing via email and found her to be very knowledgable and helpful. She has just retired from full time teaching but still plans to continue to teach kiltmaking. I've seen photos of kilts she has made and they are beautiful. I am sure you will be in good hands.

No personal experience with Judy, but I can appreciate your comment on the kilt maker. My first, and still only, kilt was made that way. The one-on-one relationship with the kilt maker has formed a positively memorable experience, and most likely a long-lasting acquaintance. The shop will no doubt see my dollars again. I am an online shopper, but its good to form relationships with quality folks when you can. The very reason a partner here may well see my shadow at the door when I'm out their way in a few months.
