I was quite impressed to see Sir Cycle-a-Lot wearing a grey kilt. I have a very cheap acrylic granite grey type kilt but as I like it I figure I should consider upgrading it to a PV or even a wool one in the not to distant future.

That would be Sir Chris, Alan. Hoy is his sur name, not his sir name. I think he looks pretty good, too, and I love the titanium work on the Commonwealth torch.

...Gives me a great idea for a sporran cantle pattern I have the same kilt by the way 16 oz Scotch Mist pleated to the stripe on mine though.

If I’m horrified at anything, it’s at the greyness of his tartan. The jacket and weskit look great on him.
Tartan flashes? Not always suitable, but nothing wrong there, I don’t think.
At any rate he was a handsome groom with a gorgeous bride.

Nothing horrifies me about his dress but personally I don't like this modern drab grey look. Also I'm not very keen on the sporran with that off centre clasp. However I'm not knocking Sir Chris in any way. He's a great athlete, and a fine ambassador for Great Britain, Scotland and kilt wearers everywhere.
