Cheers Stitchwiz. Although I think Artificer's work is top of the line stunning and among the very best, I have been tinkering with leatherwork for quite a few years now, off and on. I have to admit that I only recently viewed his work for the first time. I do love the sporrans that he makes though!
Artificer is a pro, and I only do this as a hobby, and because I'm cheap . The nicer commercially finished sporrans can be pretty hefty in price.
I used the term "whipped up" both as a pun, and because I was able to knock this out over a limited amount of free time, one weekend.

What sort of thread did you use in sewing it?

Waxed linen thread, dyed with the same leather dye used to color the leather components to match.

Thank you for the kind words. It isn't a pinking iron that I used. Rather, the edges of some parts were cut to a saw toothed pattern with pinking shears.

Thank you Mike for the photos of the interior. I am also a (tight-wallet, DYI guy) and appreciate a visual aid every once in a while. Good job.
