    Thinking as tax time nears

As tax time nears,I find myself thinking about buying another wool kilt.

I'm mostly leaning toward blue or blue tweed or tartan. The ones I'm looking at include solid color blue or burgundy tweed, MacLaren weathered, Maple Leaf, MacLean of Duart weathered, Isle or Skye, Holyrood, Western Isles & Wizards USMC Dress (in honor of an uncle who served). Are there others I should consider?

Depending how things go, I would like to get a burgundy waistcoat & 1 to coordinate with the kilt.

    Knotty,

I am also thinking of using tax returns (if any) for some more kilt related items. I want to get a Graham. But I might get a jacket and vest. Not sure. Since I love the color blue, I would vote a tartan with lots of blue in it for your next purchase.

    Have a good tax return.

Thinking of my next kilt colors also, I like the blue (navy or royal) and burgundy combo because I think it tends to represent "I'm more serious" about being kilted that brighter colors would be for me. For now that will get the public over the shock and as I am recognized (even ignored) by the general public here, I can progress to the vibrant colors of my whims and fancies later. I am not in a race to convert my wardrobe to all things Scottish.

    Tarheel,

I am in agreement with you. I do not need to have every article of clothing being something of Scottish reference. But I would love to get a few more kilts and appropriate jacket. My "daughter," a very close friend who is part of my created family, is getting married in 2016 (yeah, she preparing early LOL) and wants the groomsmen, her husband to be, and me in kilts. So I need to get parts as I can. I am so looking forward to the wedding. She is now 47yo, and I have never seen her happier than she is now.

Hoping everyone here has as happy of a year as she is.

Seems we have a club on the go here. I too am due a tax rebate which is just enough to purchase a new Cilt. Perhaps I should take the Mrs out for a tidy candlelit meal one eve, and mention my idea gently.

    Derek,

Maybe she would prefer a cilt of her own? And the dinner.

I've narrowed by search to red tones. I'm leaning toward a tartan.
The tartans Im considering right now are MacLean, Maple Leap & Isle of Skye. Are there other red tartans I should consider?
