Ham, one other "good" thing about the "Wally World" (that's what some of the teens call it) super stores is that they are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This makes it a great place for Christmas shopping for those of us that do not want to fight the crowd and the huge parking logjam. Go there at 3AM and, although the are a few diehards (like me) there, it isn't crowded.

Some of our food supermarkets (Tesco, etc.) are also open 24 hours - but only six days a week. Our Sunday trading laws permit most retail outlets to trade for only six hours on Sundays - usually ten to four.
