    Hello, Tim!

Have you been lurking long? Tell us about yourself and your interest in kilts. Post a picture or two if you've got them.

Hello, Tim and welcome to the forum. Maybe I didn't make it especially clear in my original post. It wasn't so much that she was wearing such a garment under her kilt, but rather the tartan she was subjecting to this indignity. I am an American, so my knowledge of The Black Watch is limited to what I have read .But, I just felt that what she was doing was an insult to the current soldiers of the regiment, and especially to those who have given their lives throughout the regiments long history. I know that the Black Watch Tartan is an acceptable tartan for anyone, but I still feel that it should be worn with proper respect.

    Tim,

If you were going to modify my picture, you should have added hair and reduced my waistline.

    not surprising...

I'm not surprised...considering the lack of respect that many Americans show their own veterans (consider your local Veteran's Day parade, and then compare the turn-out with the average football game or Christmas parade), it's really not surprising.

If the lads of the Black Watch are anything like the forces personnel I've known, they'd be too busy trying to get her number to give her fashion advice.

It's sad, but your comment is true.
