Kilted Fridays Adventures

Fridays are our "casual day", though most are casual all week. Not sure I could pull of a kilt at work. I could see it now. Someone calls me to "fix it" on her computer (20 women work in the office) and I have to crawl under her desk to pull the computer out. I was a boy once,and know what happens when someone is wearing a kilt-like article of clothing and gets down on all fours. Damnit, I'm not a piece of meat!

Spoilsport, I expect you would make their day, more especially if you "pulled it off".

If there were kilted IT guys running around my office, my computer would have all sorts of issues.

That's what I'm afraid of. I'm the only IT guy in the Carolinas for the company, and they already have lots of issues. I'd never get a break!

My kilted Friday is a kilted weekend, being Burns day on Sunday might as well.
Friday was a good day for adding to the kilted wardrobe. Tweed crail and spencer cut jacket, some hose and ordered a sporran. Today (Sat) was out and about as usual. Tomorrow a scotch tasting with haggis and such. A few comments from the ladies. Still get amused that my other nice clothes don't get such attention. One comment from a fellow today in very good humour "I hope you're decent under there" His lady gave him a smack and pulled him away before I could respond "yes, my wife thinks it is"

If it worked there should be a picture of me at our Sports, Vacation and Cabin Show here in Fort Wayne this past Friday. I am wearing my Sport Kilt in the Marine digital camo pattern, Bass Pro Shop T, a fleece vest, swat team boots, and my favorate fishing hat. It's not pretty or fancy but it is me.
The comments were good and in answer to "the question" i told ladies that they would have to climb up the ladder behind me to my deer stand to find out. All in all it was a fun day.

It's another Kilted Friday!

Today it's my USA Kilts 8 yard Stewart Hunting with claret hose. Bonus! I have plans this evening that also call for a kilt!

USA kilts 5 yard Douglas Weathered kilt,http://ohsusannasleather.com/ sporran, Belt is a tool belt I purchased from Harbor Freight then dyed brown, Stetson fedora (Indiana Jones replica 1981). Scotch pine walking stick I made from a branch my wife brought home from a clients home. My lovely bride is a Horticultural consultant and ISA certified arborist.

Exactly my sort of outfit....
A couple of humorous comments today while kilted. While kilted also wearing my Aussie waxed cotton fedora, the Costco packing boy made a comment about Jurassic Park. He couldn't see my kilt so I presume my hat reminded me of the movie. Later at our local Chinese restaurant our regular waiter greated me with "hello Indiana Jones", again I presume because of my hat. As I was wearing my kilt, I corrected him and said, no it is "Inverness Jones". (Sorry Jock if I've borrowed your identity).
