A warm Scottish welcome from middle England. Kind of curious to know what led you to a kilt site in the first place?
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Welcome! When it comes to all things related to the kilt, you'll not find a finer, friendly or more knowledgeable - or, occasionally, more contradictory - group of mentors than you'll find on XMTS.

    Nesbitt,

A warm welcome from the Highlands of Hawaii. I was in the same boat as you in that I did not have the fortune of learning about my Scottish heritage from my parents. I also am in my 40's, just a little later in them than you, lol.

I have been teaching myself as well, researching everything I can get ahold of relating to Scottish culture, history, etc. It has been an interesting path of discovery so far but I still have lots more to learn, and I look forward to the journey.
