First time, of sorts...
Tonight was the first time some of a particular group of my friends have seen me kilted. These were a few of my Harley-Davidson friends, and on a rainy evening my wife and I were invited to a residence to play a game called "Battle of the Sexes". I figured I had better wear the most manly outfit I could muster for the occasion, so I dressed casually in my 8 yard wool American Heritage tartan kilt. I certainly experienced the lighthearted ribbing one might expect around a bunch of bikers, but these are good friends and my kilt was *very* well received. Oh, and the men won the game.

Minus , nice pic .
Perhaps your attire helped win the game , it probably distracted the ladies and threw them a bit " off-kilter " .

Now the real manly thing to do is to ride your Harley while kilted!

A kilt worn to a "battle of the sexes" game, should steal the Thunder of the feminine advantage. Unless the women own Harleys, are kilted, emotionally stronger and smarter (my personal preference of companionship) the ribbing from fellow bikers would seem gentle.
Case in point, My grandmother, on her 1938 Indian, Daytona Beach, FLA. race day.

Incidentally, most of the women in attendence ride their own Harleys, and while not kilted, they are all strong & smart... including one Brit. Obviously the kilt outmatched them this time.
Awesome photo of your grandmother, Tarheel. Thanks for sharing.
