    Wallace Blue Tartan?

I was wondering if it is possible to get a women's kilt in Wallace blue tartan from USA Kilts, specifically the PV mini-kilt. My girlfriend is thinking of getting a kilt for a medieval fair here.

Has anyone done a custom tartan or is it only possible for wool customs?

    Thanks in advance!

I feel you and she should consider the winds around Norman, OK when thinking of kilt material. Wool will be heavier and less likely to "reveal the secrets" when billowing in a gust. Other fabrics may look too similar to the uniforms of the "Tilted Kilt" employees.
These considerations are yours alone, but the wool Wallace blue may be easier to obtain than a "Fabrics-R-us" upholstery equivalent.

Sport Kilt does a lot of fashion "variations" that look Wallace-like to me. The one they call "Big Blue" looks to me like sort of what you're looking for.

Thanks all! I'll see what she thinks of your suggestions. Tarheel, funny you mention the winds, there is a thread I started in kilt advice about that. My girlfriend is planning on leggings under the kilt so a wee bit of wind won't ruin things for her. I'm counting on a pin and sporran to keep me from being too exposed but if it happens, it happens. I'm aiming for a USA Kilts casual myself.

I remember your thread clearly. My sister just moved back to NC from Norman. She was two blocks south of the highway (below the F5 path a few years ago). Certainly not winds that are kind to kilts.
