I have been to two of them.

Sir Toddish MacWong san has embraced some of the comments of another thread (DNA). It's great that 2015 is the year of the sheep for this event. I wish I could make it there. Great photo of him in his kilt.

My brother xman, a member here, rows with Gung Haggis Fat Choy, or at least he did at one point in time.

I've been to two of them. Good symbols of Vancouver's cultural diversity and co-operation. The event itself can be a bit of a zoo, but Todd appears at many Scottish events and is well-kent in his Loud Macleod and well-respected for for his efforts.

This is multiculturalism working, as opposed to groups of people living in ghettos and isolation from each other. If I was in Hongcouver, I would attend.

This sounds like a great, fun party!!! I'm sure there is good hearted ribbing, and in the end a community bond grows stronger as a result

Wish there was something like that out here..

But Steve, where you able to walk home after?

Now I have reasons for two trips to Vancouver each year, The Bare Buns Run at Wreck Beach, and Gung Haggis Fat Choy. I may get to be a regular.

If the danged city weren't so crowded, noisy, and rampant with road rage and massive traffic jams, it would almost be pleasant to visit.

I can see why it might be called Hongcouver, I heard a lot of what I took to be Cantonese, but not the Madarin I can understand -- a little.
