I've been a member of XMTS for several months but haven't really known what to say. Let's start with a THANK YOU to everyone for the answers to all the questions I didn't know I had. Reading your posts is opening a whole new world to me.
I live on a 600 acre farm in north central New York near the St Lawrence Seaway and not far from Cornwall, ON. I got my first kilt some 15 years ago when I took up bag piping and joined a band. That was in Vienna VA. We moved to NY about 10 years ago and, missing the band, I recently joined the Brockville Pipe Band in Brockville, ON.
In addition to piping my hobbies include breeding and showing English Setters (for pictures go to http://www.fifeshirefarm.com/kennel/kennel.php) and now kilt making. My wife and I will be going to Kilt Kamp this summer where we look forward to learning some basic skills and making some new friends.
