I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Never been a smoker, really. Although I do keep a fairly well stocked humidor. Cubans are my thing, and if I reach for anything, it's probably a Romeo y Julieta Coronitas en cedro. I smoke maybe about twice a year... And I'll be honest -- I think I enjoy collecting them more than I do smoking them. Lol. A bit odd, I know...

I enjoyed Captain Black white. My wife had to undergo treatment for breast cancer 10 years ago, and had to cease smoking. In support, I quit, cold turkey. I do still drool a bit when I pass a pipe smoker on the street.

I used the word "occasional", but the frequency of my smoking has dropped in recent years. Last year I smoked 6 or 7 cigars, usually with a friend or a book, and a glass of port or sherry, or a dram of malt, eg Dalmore's Cigar Malt, which thankfully is again available here.

I smoke a pipe off and on. My main tobaccos are MacBaren navy flake and Peterson's Irish Flake.

I love a good cigar. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with a Gurkha. Right now, I'm having the Prestige.

And this is how I started. (Note that my great Uncle has Captain Black in his pocket)...

I tend to smoke Captain Black Gold, Carter Hall, Prince Albert or almost anything that has a mixture of Burley and Cavendish in it. I also like the aromatics. I have an eclectic taste in pipe tobaccos.

Borkum Riff or Captain Black usually. I have a few pipe smoking friends and we try to get together every now and then and share a bowl full of anything new we are trying. I tried one called Hobbits Weed that was fantastic but it's a bit pricey and currently unavailable due to a shortage from the producer

I started 20 or so years ago. My father was the manager of a small chain of cigar stores here on Long Island. I have a nice selection of briars that I don't seem to have as much time as I used to have for them let alone the meerschaum and clays. I preferred a Navy flake when I was younger but now pretty much whatever I find that I like at the pipe shop.
