Thanks everyone. If this passes muster at all it's because of all the help and encouragement I've gotten from BarbT! Now it's on to a box-pleat in regimental weight Black Watch.....

Well done. 8 kilts? It's an addiction.
Wallace Catanach, Kiltmaker A day without killting is like a day without sunshine.
Looks wonderful. Very nice.
Wow, that looks great. So now you can start on #9 Mike
Thanks Mike! Thought I had 4 yds of Black Watch which would have meant a box pleat but it turns out I have 8 yds so now I have to rethink #9. Scottish Wildcat tartan should be here by the end of March so #10 is in the pipeline as well.....
Excellent job, may I ask what mill the tartan came from?
Shoot straight you bastards. Don't make a mess of it. Harry (Breaker) Harbord Morant - Bushveldt Carbineers
Ordered it from DC Dalgliesh. I've made a kilts from Locharron, House of Edgar and Dalgliesh and I prefer Dalgliesh's fabric hands down.
Nice job Harlan. I love how invisible your stitches have become. The progression of skills is so satisfying isn't it? lol, I hope I never run into your brother when he's wearing that kilt. I'd probably get arrested for the hard stares at his butt while I try to see your stitches!

Nice job Harlan. I'm sure he'll be proud to wear it; and you should be proud of your workmanship.

I have two MacLaren kilts in Lochcorron ancient but from your pics prefer the red colour of the Dalgliesh. Cheers
