    A nice old map

    Acquired this recently and just had it framed - Braid Alban from Blaeu's Atlas of Scotland from 1654.



    The colours and detail are as fresh as the day it was printed. Lovely to look at a a nice heirloom for my children.

    I had a chance to do a little exploring on the nls link. A fascinating look at the settlements of the day, all along the river valleys. One could line up the Speyside whisky along the Spey.
