    Day after St. Patrick's gig

Finally a decent picture I think. This was for a day after St. Patrick's Day performance at nursing home.

Unfortunately I have my pipes covering my belt and sporran. It is a black belt and silver buckle with a thistle. The sporran is an evening sporran, fur front w/3 tassels and a silver cantle rim (technical term I'm not sure). My shirt is light green, and there is some green in the tie as well.

    Thanks!

You're looking great! A little bleary eyed, perhaps, but great. I know those nursing home groupies can be pretty wild, but good on you for playing for them.

Good-looking outfit, by the way. Nice everything.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

looking good. I guess it depends on the group but I've done shows where the audience was all nursing home and I know they really appreciate it and are great at the meet and greet afterwards but they can be the quietest audiences in the world.

Thanks everyone! The eyes were a little bleary :-) The group I play with was on the go on St. Patrick's day from 0900-2300.

I think the residents were appreciative of it. There was one gentleman I didn't really get a chance to speak with, but his friend told me he got pretty teary eyed during Danny Boy. I'm glad I had the privilege to play for them. My wife and I were talking about it, who knows what memories some of the tunes may have brought up.

Thanks again for the nice comments.

My wife and I always get teary eyed when we hear Danny Boy, especially on the pipes. I'll bet your audience loved it, both for old memories recalled and the new one it created.

You look great. Glad you got to bring some memories to deserving people at the home.
