Are you looking for fiction? If so, try Morgan Llewellyn. She has written some pretty good ones based on the Irish myths. "Red Branch" and "Finn MacCool" are both good reads. Bernard Cornwell has a trilogy that is an interesting take on the Arthurian legend.

There's always the "Mists of Avalon" by Marion Zimmer Bradley. I believe it has become a series. Another Arthurian run from the Lady of the Lake's point of view.

There is a series published in the 1960's called The Chronicles of Prydain by Loyd Alexander based on Welsh mythology. There are 5 books in the series. There was a Disney movie made from one of the books called The Black Cauldron. The 2 of the books were Newbery honor and Newbery Medal winners. While they are written for children they still are a good read for adults.

It's been quite a while since I've read any (I do remember K.C. Flint's work), but one which stands out in my mind (though, filtered through the mists of time, I am not sure if it was actually a good book, or if I just remember it that way) was The Book of Kells by R.A. MacAvoy.

Kind of like the Outlander series, it involves some time travel to propel the story, but it's an interesting look at Viking-occupied Ireland. Not so much delving into Celtic myths per se; it's more of a myth in itself, a pseudo-historical fantasy tale.

A little into the left field, when speaking of fiction and mythology, I have to say that Robert Holdstock has written a fascinating series starting with Mythago Wood and Lavondyss. It doesn't focus specifically on Celtic mythology, but rather, mythology in general, and the sources of the stories which have remained in our consciousness as myths for millennia. However, with a setting in England (at least on the outside, as it were), we find that many of the myths referenced in the story are familiar to those with a knowledge of Celtic mythology.

I second Robert Holdstock, whom I haven't read for years - Mythago Wood, gosh that takes me back. Another great series is "The Song of Albion" by Stephen Lawhead - travellers from our world to an alternate Celtic one. I must track it down again!

You might like to try the Deverry Cycle books by Katherine Kerr too.
