we went to Joshua tree national park for a day of hiking and fun. I was wearing a new hiking kilt which worked well except I forgot to use a pin and the wind picked up and my son who was taking the picture didn't seem to notice that the kilt was a wee bit high. One picture was useable and family friendly. The rifle stock is a camera aide I made. It is a toy shotgun with it's barrels removed and a camera attachment added to it. It allows me greater stability than when I simply hand hold it. I tried a monopod this trip with a rifle attachment so I could lay the stock on it and it did make for a more stable non tripod shot. these are a few of the shots I took
This was Cameron. He had a bit of trouble on this hike as it had multitudes of cholla and he stepped on small sections several times. I did once but didn't get any in my foot
there were chuckwallas and other lizards, blooming cactus and some cool bugs.
