I'm a recent kilt binger...her's short and sweet, but check out the websites. www.kiltment.com has a good list of links.

Freedom Kilts, Steve is a fast custom house, good quality. Pick and choose what you want on it in the way of pockets.

Pittsburgh Kilts, Jeff is also a custom house...if you want a kilt in your school colors he can do it. He's making a three color kilt for me now (Arizona flag colors). His standard kilts are very nice.

Amerikilts, Michael makes a quality product, larger operation. And, in my opinion, has the best belt source for simple but wide kilt belts.

Utilikilts, unless you get lucky you're probably gonna wait a while, but a quality kilt and funky people cranking them out. The black workman's would fit well into any gothic/punk/etc outfit.

SportKilts, probably the fastest turnaround, but also the least kilt-like...I've worn them to concerts and conferences but no one else has been a kilt purist at those events. They do have the Leatherneck tartan if you're serious about the Marines some day...if the old Marines like me on this board don't talk some sense into you before you sign them papers...Semper Fi dude.

You can also browse the old posts on this board and get a good feel for most manufacturers and custome kilt makers.

Remember, that kilts are like flowers...all beautiful, and all different kinds...sometimes making a decision is the toughest.
