And so the buckle finally arrived the other day, and I made a belt out of a strap of 2.5 inch wide buffalo leather(9 oz) and put the two together this morning.
The shipping was a bit slow; the buckle itself (which is rather heavy) came in a tape-reinforced air mail envelope from Canada, but I have to say that I highly recommend Coughlin and Upton, and David Brunell (through the linked site in the original post), as a polite and personal business.
