Like Couper, I have a 5 yard wool in Celtic Nations. To say " I love it!" is putting it mildly. It is not quite a year old, but is still like the first day I saw it. There will be no problems with anything done by Rocky and his crew.

As a kilt maker learning from Elsie, Judy and soon this summer Barb and Steve....The stabilizer is because you have 8 yards (or more) of tartan to corral. big difference in an 8 yard kilt with 30 something pleats, especially with the oz. size.

I will post personal thoughts in 6-10 weeks..... I'm confidant my new purchase will be a bargain at twice the price I paid.

I have one, in County Tryone tartan, and while it'll still be some time before I can afford another, I agree it's a splendid value.

you guys are the best! I seriously appreciate all the responses, frankly I knew I was crazy to even question Rocky and the gang. they have such a stellar reputation here, and my own experiences have been phenomenal. this is happening. just pulled the trigger. rush fee seems completely worth it.

You are a madman. Wish there had been a rush fee on my 8 yard premiere.

I have multiple kilts, and my 5 yard wool kilts are my favorite. I have one each in Celtic Nations and American Heritage. In fact, I think I will be getting another one in the not so distant future. And I agree with GR, the wait is part of the fun.

I forewent the rush fee because of my budget (It was tricky being able to afford the 5-yard model instead of the semi-traditional at this time, but I'm really glad I did).
Not a fan of waiting, but I had the incredible good luck to (apparently) get accidentally shuffled into the "rush" pile. One in a million, or luck of the Irish; either way, I'll take it!
