    A somewhat rustic sporran.

    Evening all.

I had a bash at a sporran a year or two ago. thought I'd try and attach pictures. :-)

Made from a worn out leg-of -mutton gun case.
Cantle is oak. I wanted something a little 'earthy' being a farmer!
For some reason, I managed to put the gusset seams inside, front And back. Makes a nice roomy practical sporran.

    Now, will the pictures work?!DSCN0982.JPGDSCN0983.JPGDSCN0976.JPGDSCN0979.JPGDSCN0975.JPG
You will note the inside is still unfinished. been like that a long time now, and used that way!

As this isn't traditional, what does the Rabble think??

    All best,
    Richard.

I like it and would wear one if I had one like it..... Nice job.

    Looks Traditional to me.

Wow, I am very impressed. Rustic, indeed. I love absolutely everything about this beautiful sporran. The colours and the textures are deep and rich. I especially like the oak cantle and the distressed leather. The whole thing looks like it could be 200 years old and just dug oot of the bog.

Apart from The Artificer's masterpieces, I rarely see a sporran that I like enough to actually want to wear. I'd be honoured to wear this one. Which begs the question.... would you part with it?

I like it enough, that if you get tired of using it and need a change of pace, I'll trade you my rustic sporran for yours. Be warned, I will get the better part of the bargain.

Very well done I really like the look of the cantle in wood as opposed to any other kind of material, I find most cantles to be too costume-y for my bumpkin tastes... Again well done!!

Richard: I think you did a spectacular job! Is it your first sporran? How does the clasp (assuming it has one) work?

"Somewhat rustic"? It could define "rustic".

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
