It's been a tough week, I was going to wear it on our anniversary. But my wife decided emergency spinal surgery would be more fun. I did wear it to church on Sunday, this is the second time I wore it.

I'm sure she would have given it a pass if she had the choice. Hope she is doing well, there is a long road ahead of you both. Physiotherapy is always a challenge but in the end it will be the best thing she can do for herself.

Take care of yourself so that you can help her. Housework can be hard on the body, so make sure you do some gentle stretching before you drag out the vacuum and the floor mop. Of course, there is another exercise you can do, although it requires a different kind of stretching; pull out your wallet and pay someone else to do it

Yes, I hope your wife is doing better and has a very speedy recovery. And, also, congratulations on your knew kilt. You look striking in it. So, how long before you get another one?

I'm not sure, I'm thinking a nice tweed jacket and vest next

. But if not I'll probably get a wool kilt in Douglas Ancient. I now have two wool Fraser kilts and one Douglas. The reasoning for the Douglas and Fraser is for honoring family ties. I still have my eye on the Isle of Skye, Weathered Campbell of Cowdor and Auld Lang Syne Burns

. I'll probably place any order towards the end of the year. I'm also thinking of a bespoke sporran.

My poor wife can't catch a break, so 6 weeks post-op she is driving our new truck to her office to give a business presentation. And some guy comes off a side street and T-bones the her

Now back in the E.R. for 6 hours full spinal MRI and CT scan. The next morning she wakes up at home with an horrendous headache and vomiting so back to the E.R. for another 6 hours. They do a head CT scan and all is clear. She is doing much better now but wow not our idea of a great summer.

I am very sorry to read of your wife's accident. Too often it seems that things that hurt us are not due to our own actions. I always worry about driving. I am not worried about my driving; I am worried about the other person's driving. I hope she makes a full recovery soon, and I hope you both have a much better remainder of the year.

Holy cow! I hope she is faring better as each day passes.... I recieved my own kilt from Rocky and aside from a preliminary "slapping it on" I haven't had time to even glance at it, ( though not for reasons like you have been through...) I'm in a parade next weekend, it's also my birthday that day so it's like a whole parade for ME!!! Wooo!!!! I'm thinking that's the first opportunity to give it a whirl.

I hope we can try these kilts out properly before summer is over.

My bride had to have spinal surgery AGAIN. She is doing well, now time for recovery. We missed the Pleasanton games but for her to be feeling better that's ok. She wanted just me and my son to go without her I had to tell her no way I'm not going without my best friend. Now she just needs to get better, we have our local Celtic Celebration in October and other society functions. Now some pictures of the Fraser kilt.
